Teófilo José Soares de Braga

He is Professor of physics and chemistry in primary and higher schools. He has a degree in physico-chemical / mathematical sciences by Universidade dos Açores, and specialized courses in higher education in school administration, taught by Institute of Higher Education and Labour of Porto, and a master in environmental education.

Since 1982, he has been connected with ecological and animal protection movements, as he was one of the founders and president of Friends of the Azores/Ecological Association.

He was director of the Agency for Energy and Environment of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.

He is the author and co-author of several publications about hiking trails and energy and natural heritage.
