He was born in Lisbon on July 26, 1955. He graduated in automobile engineering in Chelsea College of Aeronautical and Automobile Engineering, in Brighton, England.
He was a motorcycle and car rider for more than 25 years and a journalist for more than 10 years. He travelled to more than 50 countries. He remains connected to motor racing as an organizer of competitions and teams and writes articles, sporadically, for specialized magazines.
