Description
This work about the Imaginary City that Charters de Almeida has proposed aims to symbolically link the two banks of the Tagus, in the “sea” of Abrantes. This connection is suggested by the different doors and passages that make up the work. He also sought to propose a direct interaction with the people who visit the space in question, which will allow them to discover multiple perspectives of what already exists and what is about to come.
The Imaginary City can be an image of the Cities of God of St. Augustine, because it assumes the pure utility that only art as a social tool should achieve. Because art has to be part of everyday life. What must last an eternity, must take an eternity to be realized.
